Nickelbackro (on 15 November 2009)
Midway how far ye have fallen since the arcade days...
dobby985 (on 08 November 2009)
Hang on? Midway said they sold over 3m copies.
Egghead (on 13 October 2009)
I think its time we started to repent our sins = |
spurgeonryan (on 23 August 2009)
Thank God I bought this used from Gamestop, well my wife bought it. total Garbage!. Hoops is the only playable game. and maybe trivia, wait for it to be in the 5 dollar bargain bin at walmart in five years, then continue to walk on by it.
WiiBox3 (on 08 February 2009)
Finally played it and this game is bad. I'm not sure if I will ever boot it up again. Can't believe they charge $20 for this. The controls are awful, period. The mini games are not fun because you have practically no control of what happens.
GregoryWeagle (on 19 January 2009)
Third best selling game Midway has ever produced? Wow......
WiiBox3 (on 09 January 2009)
Good Lord... I got this for Christmas. I think I'll wait for when I have guests over to even boot it up.
WiiBox3 (on 25 September 2008)
Too people who have played this game.. Did you enjoy it? What do you like about it? Will you buy the new one that is on it's way?
fgkiller (on 23 September 2008)
this proves if you make some crap party game taht just a little better then playable and you dont charge more then 20 bucks you can make a crap load of money....could you imgine if the other party games where 20 bucks instead of there over priced 40 to 50 bucks.
OLDSKOOL (on 12 August 2008)
I seriously think it is the boxart and the title. If Bllom Box was called Bllom Box Party and had images of four wii remotes then maybe it would have sold as well as this piece of tosh!
MontanaHatchet (on 28 July 2008)
It's priced at 20 bucks mainly, which adds to the appeal.
Soma (on 24 July 2008)
so, this is not a good game? Why is it selling so much? Price and box art? Or is it really fun for their target audience?
MontanaHatchet (on 23 July 2008)
I'd agree with that much. I was actually slightly attempted to buy this 'til I read the reviews. It definitely had a box art with appeal (same with Carnival Games).
WiiBox3 (on 23 July 2008)
I think this game sold so well due to it's $19.99 price point. It was well displayed outside of the glass wall in Target and Walmart with other budget games. Since money is tight right now I can see why people would buy this at $20 instead of Boom Blox at $50. How would parents know which is better?
MontanaHatchet (on 22 July 2008)
Why am I bitter? Not everyone likes really horrible games selling well. Maybe you do. I'd go for average and not complain much, but if you really like it so much when horrible games become million sellers, that's just you.
Faxanadu (on 22 July 2008)
@Montana: why do you solely post negative things all the time. Bitter a bit?
Faxanadu (on 22 July 2008)
very nice. makes me happy this reached a million. very happy now.
MontanaHatchet (on 17 July 2008)
I don't know why you guys are so happy about it >_>
Kihniö (on 17 July 2008)
Million seller..
trestres (on 17 July 2008)
1 million :( :)
Zucas (on 16 July 2008)
welcome to platinum status
amp316 (on 01 July 2008)
This is going to sell a million. It deserves it. It's much better than No More Heroes, Okami, Boom Blox, or Zack and Wiki. That's why it's outselling those games by so much. Go Game Party!!!
MontanaHatchet (on 26 June 2008)
So true OkeyDokey, so true.
--OkeyDokey-- (on 18 June 2008)
This settles it.
If a Wii game has "party" in the the title it's a gauranteed multi-million seller.
trancos (on 13 June 2008)
900k next week.
Strategyking92 (on 11 June 2008)
Ilooked on metacritic, this is one of the lowest rated wii games... and it's selling like crazy!!
WHAT.....THE.....(*&$!!!!!!!!
MontanaHatchet (on 09 June 2008)
Normally I'd be angry because this game is just not very good (really, it isn't, look at Metacritic or Gamerankings).

But it managed to help Midway get some cash. So although their games suck and the next Mortal Kombat will probably be an embarrassment...damnit, why did you guys give them money?!!
hihihi (on 04 June 2008)
next milloin seller comfirmed
SaviorX (on 01 June 2008)
This is like the only game I know keeping Midway afloat.
kopstudent89 (on 31 May 2008)
1 million here we come?! i cant believe this
Zucas (on 23 May 2008)
perculator- Midway announced 800,000 shipped at the end of their last quarter. Meaning shipment wise it's almost at million seller. Sales had it at 500k which is kinda improbable for a game that's shipping so well. So sales were adjusted.

But yea who would have though Midway's first 7th gen million seller would be Game Party haha.
peetee (on 23 May 2008)
I hope Game Party 2 will be better than this crap.
Neos (on 23 May 2008)
million seller in 7-8 weeks tops
perculator (on 22 May 2008)
how did this games sales increase by so much
johnsobas (on 03 May 2008)
1 million is no doubt referring to shipments, but no way is there half a million games on store shelves.
PEICanada7 (on 29 April 2008)
"Jeff Gerstman said it sold a million. I wonder if thats true?"

Yeah Jeff, and Ryan Davis were at the Midway Event last week, and they were told by Midway that Game Party has sold over a million. Which then a sequel was announced to be in development.

So how come VGChartz is off by over half a million on this game? That doesn't look to good for this sites reputation to be off by that much as people already question this sites numbers as it is.
coonana (on 23 April 2008)
Jeff Gerstman said it sold a million. I wonder if thats true?
Tormod (on 21 April 2008)
Typical bullshit... It's sad to see it sell fairly well.
Strategyking92 (on 14 April 2008)
no!!
perculator (on 03 April 2008)
this game selling a million no question
bigjon (on 02 April 2008)
i saw a dad buy his 4-5 year old this game in GS.. I wanted to stop him so bad...
Leni (on 29 March 2008)
doing well, maybe 0.5 million...
Diglet (on 28 March 2008)
sad sad sad. If the is a mil seller i will CRY!
Vil3 (on 27 March 2008)
i hope this wont be a milonseller....why the hell are everyone buying this kind off games :P
Zucas (on 27 March 2008)
This title won't make a million but it should make a half million. Man this is like saving Midway's life haha. No telling how much money they've already made off that 280,000 haha.
MontanaHatchet (on 29 February 2008)
Another million man for the Wii.
kopstudent89 (on 27 February 2008)
why do i feel its gonna sell a million??:S
Faxanadu (on 26 February 2008)
next million seller after carnival games. thank you Europe...
Strategyking92 (on 20 February 2008)
so, you're telling me a shovelware budget title gets sales like this???
europe.... heh.
valen200 (on 09 January 2008)
It does have an odd appeal, and at a budget price it isn't terrible.
boulin99 (on 08 January 2008)
This game keeps getting better over time. It's a little hard to get the hang of, but when you keep playing it, it's really fun.

I mean, I can't get enough beer pong.
