And the only two Forza games to beat it were ones that weren't available digitally at launch. Which means this theoretically could be the best selling Forza yet. If not, it's a whole lot closer to it than these numbers suggest. Estimates have a typical AAA title selling about 80% retail, 20% digital, these days. However, the Play Anywhere nature of this title (plus playing four days early if you went for the digital deluxe edition) were a pair of very strong incentives to go digital here. If Forza Horizon 3 had 25.9% digital sales, it caught FM4. Only 20.6% digital sales were required to catch FM3 based on these numbers. Those numbers are very plausible. So it's very possible that this is the best first week for a Forza game yet.

Imagine the sales figures forza would enjoy if the xbox brand was as popular in Europe as it is in the US right now. That said what a great first week this is for horizon compared to fm6 could it spell a move away from the annual simulator? Bad news for the incoming gran turismo possibly?

I think that it acutally was the best selling Forza game ever if you add digital sales, because No. 1 and 2 didn't have those at launch.

27% of the sales need to be digital and that seems like a very reasonable number. Seems to be quite low even.

Awesome, much better than I expected. Between physical, digital, and PC, this should be a great success.

Nice numbers, the next car pack is a little over a week away. Plus I think the first expansion pack will come out on the 14th.

probably a lot more given there was plenty of people playing before the 27th of october , as i dont have an xbox one i got it on pc but given that the digital copy allows play on both pc and console it wouldnt surprise me if it had sold more than the hard copy.

Ok, I'm coming at this cold not know much about the topic, but are these really good sales numbers for one of the flag ship brands of the Xbox? Just wondering... It seems unremarkable.

Even though Forza Motorsports 6 had a pretty weak first week it had great legs. Of course its legs are pretty much dead now since it no longer gets any DLC and Horizon 3 is been out for almost a month already.
