Sony owns that IP. The new game will likely be multiplat.

Pretty sure they're making a sequel, but this is most likely a different game.

It's published by gamestop, so it's a smaller game. But hopefully we will get a sequel to The Order in the future :)

They already said that they want to make a sequel

They may want to make a sequel to The Order 1886, but it needs to be greenlit by Sony in order to happen. And since the first game wasn't a commercial or critical success, it's sadly doubtful we'll get one. :/

I hope they make one because while the first game was a little lackluster, it was still fascinating and told a compelling story. It had good elements in place that could be expended on in a sequel.

Very curious to see what they are doing and if Gamestop is funding big budget titles.

Like Guerrilla games and naughty dog ready at dawn are graphical Wizards but it takes more than that to make a good game I was hoping Sony would make them first party

cant wait... i know the order 1886 got a lot of hate. but for ready at dawns first game it was a masterpiece and the only thing that should really be complained about was the length of it. but no games perfect right?

For me The Order was a 6.5/10, which means there's more good than bad about it. But there was a lot of room for improvement and some truly head scratching combat design decisions (i.e. fighting werewolves, who the hell ever thought either of the werewolf fighting modes were good game design?). I think it's probably a good game to play on easiest setting and see it as a longish movie than a game from which to derive a lot of enjoyment from the gameplay. But I don't see anyone but Sony being willing to fund another instalment. So this is not going to be a sequel to The Order.

Wait a pub deal?, what happened to the relationship they had with Sony?, why aren't they funding the entire thing and pubbing it too?.

Sony kicked them after The Order tanked. Did you miss that news?

So this new IP could be multi or something?. I wasn't really reading into their relationship taking a different turn at the time.

We don't even know if it will have anything to do with The Order. But if they took another direction than TO1886, why not. If it's the same linear QTE basic TPS game, no thanks.

Quite honestly, i'm expecting something smaller in size. I don't see gamestop having lots of money to finance big risky projects.
