Nintendo: Splatoon Sells Over 1 Million Units in Japan - News

Nintendo announced today that the Wii U exclusive Splatoon has now sold more than one million units in Japan. The figure includes physical, digital, and bundled sales.

 

Splatoon released on May 28th in Japan and May 29th in North America and Europe.

This is by far the best :)!
It kept in my Wii U(i have a physical copy) for a long time until Xenoblade came out.
Now I have to switch them everyday to play!

Great to see new IP's doing well this generation, specially when others like Codename S.T.E.A.M hasn't. There's no doubt that they are going to make another Splatoon game for their next home console and tbh I would like to see one also for their next handheld. I'm sure it have the hardware power to do so.

Actualy I'd prefer Splatoon to remain a HC focused game: lately with FE and AC we've seen too many IPs moving to the handheld and the HC lineup is hurt by that...

Hopefully it motivates Nintendo to create new IP going forward because it's obvious when they want to, they still have the magic touch.
