FIFA 16 and Metal Gear Solid V topped the digital charts in September 2015, according to a report released by SuperData Research.

FIFA 16 was the highest grossing digital game on consoles, followed by Destiny. The launch of the expansion Destiny: The Taken King helped boost sales of the main game. Grand Theft Auto V is in third and Metal Gear Solid V is in fourth.

Metal Gear Solid V was the highest grossing digital game on the PC, followed by Mad Max. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is in third, followed by Grand Theft Auto V in fourth.

Overall, digital games revenue was up across the board, except for pay-to-play MMOs where sales fell eight percent. Year-over-year digital sales increased 29 percent to $326 million, despite the average number of players remaining the same. The average amount spent per person increased by 39 percent to $132.46 per month.
