Rumor: New Xbox One Controller Out in June - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 28 May 2015 / 4,323 ViewsIt looks as though Microsoft is working on an updated version of the Xbox One controller, according to this page on the Xbox Support site, which originally described a new controller with a 3.5mm headphone jack as only being available on controllers released after June 2015.
The page has since been amended to remove this reference, which has only increased speculation that Microsoft will reveal the new controller at next month's E3.

Thank you Microsoft. This is another great change coming back to the roots. The adapter and fact that astros did not work properly were one of the things holding me back from buying next gen (currently game on 360 and PC).
obligatory current gen* correction
One of my favourite things about the DS4 is the headphone jack, it'd be nice for the Xbox bro's to experience the convenience!
They should do what they did back with the original Xbox and update the entire controller so the analog sticks aren't so... different. Bring back the feel of the 360 controller.
360 controller - best controller evar.
It's a great controller for sure. My only complaint was the d-pad. If that d-pad would have been on par with say, the Sega Genesis controller? Then it would be unchallenged imo.
Yeah this is a great feature on the other controllers.
Now they need to get rid of the AA batteries, and I won't have any more complaints about the controller.
Can they at least finally get rid of AA batteries..?
Can they at least finally get rid of AA batteries..?
They'll add a headphone jack and probably get rid of trigger rumbles
