Wii U Receiving Unity 5 Support - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 25 May 2015 / 4,467 ViewsGame engine Unity 5 was announced earlier this year, and although it was announced that the engine would run on consoles, including the Wii U, it was not clear whether the Wii U would actually receive support.

That uncertainty has now been cleared up with the release of a new beta build for the Wii U which uses Unity 5.0.1. Developers who wish to use Unity 5 on the platform will nonetheless have to wait until the fall before they'll be able to submit titles using the engine. In the meantime they'll have to stick with Unity 4.3.
Thanks Nintendo Everything.

Thats good news!
Unity seems to be the go-to engine for a lot of indie developers and WiiU seems to be quite indie friendly, so this is not surprising. Besides, unlike other engine developers, Unity has always supported the WiiU, and if my memory serves me right, Nintendo even gave free Unity licenses with its development kits.
I'll wait till they receive 3rd Party Support
