Mortal Kombat X might be featuring microtransactions, according to a hint from developer NetherRealm Studios marketing manager Brian Goodman, who spoke with IGN. He stated that he wasn't ready to discuss about microtransactions for the game yet.

"We are not releasing any details on that yet," said Goodman. "Nothing to say about microtransactions yet."

Mortal Kombat X would not be the first AAA title to feature microtransactions. Other games that do include Grand Theft Auto V, The Crew, Forza Horizon, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, DriveClub, and Assasson's Creed: Unity.

Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
