EA Losses Increase to $130M for Quarter Ending June 30 - News

Revenue for the company reached $491 million, which is down from $524 million a year ago. EA lost $130 million, which up slightly from losses of $124 million a year ago.
"We have established an unmatched diversity in our business with multiple brands performing across several channels, business models and geographies," said Chief Executive Officer John Riccitiello. "This allows us to drive profitable growth in a rapidly transforming marketplace for games."
EA has also reported on the individual sales of several of its games. FIFA World Class Soccer and EA Sports FIFA Online 2 has generated more than $25 million in Asia for the quarter. FIFA Ultimate Team generated more than $30 million for the quarter. EA's Battlefield 3 Premium service has sold more than 1.3 million subscriptions. SimCity Social the Facebook game has over 10 million monthly active users.

I hope he's making serious bank because he's about to become unemployed.
EA seem to bleed players dry and still can't turn a profit. Some things do actually to give players value (the Premium service is more of a season pass than a cash-grab, think you actually save a bit if do that rather than buying the expansions separately). But it makes you wonder where all that cash is going; what are the chances the bosses are just pocketing it all in sky-high bonuses?
They just keep shopping...
I will purposely buy used ea games because you have to pay for online codes and such
How do they keep losing money every year and stay in business? Someone explain this to me.
Are they waiting for a bailout?
Better start making good games them EA and stop cocking up classic franchises like Command & Conquer.
