Welcome to the ‘Top 10’ weekly feature. Each week we will be taking a look at the top 10 selling games in a particular genre, platform, most recent month, even sprinkling in the top 10 selling games from a past year. All sales specified will be worldwide, unless stated otherwise.
In the last six weeks we have taken a look some of the biggest publishers, first party and third party. This week we will be continuing the same theme and will be looking at Ubisoft. If there is a particular top 10 you want to see leave a comment and it may be featured in a future top 10.
Looking at the top 10 bestselling games published by Ubisoft, four of the top 10 games are for the Wii, three are for the Xbox 360 and three are for the PlayStation 3. The top 10 is dominated by two franchises, Just Dance and Assassin’s Creed, which have the nine of the top 10 games. The three Just Dance games are the three bestselling Ubisoft games on a single platform (All three for the Wii) and have sold a combined 25.01 million units. The six Assassin’s Creed games are split evenly between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They have sold a combined 27.37 million units. The other game in the top 10, Michael Jackson: The Experience is for the Wii and has sold 4.01 million units.
The top 10 games sold a combined 56.39 million units. The four Wii games sold a combined 29.02 million units, or 51.4 percent of the total games sold in the top 10. The three Xbox 360 games sold a combined 14.03 million units, or 24.9 percent of the total games sold in the top 10. The three PlayStation 3 games sold a combined 13.34 million units, or 23.7 percent of the total games sold in the top 10.
Taking a look at the top 10 bestselling games published by Ubisoft, the two sequels to Just Dance for the Wii have sold a similar amount, as well has outselling the original by 2.33 million units. Also Just Dance 3 is on the verge of outselling Just Dance 2. Four Ubisoft games on a single platform have sold more than five million, while 10 have sold more than four million units.
As a quick note 14 games sold more than three million units and 23 sold more than two million units. Also for those who are interested the first Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell for the original Xbox is the bestselling in the franchise with sales of 3.02 million units. Rayman for the PlayStation is the bestselling Ubisoft game not released this generation with sales of 3.03 million.

Wow, congratulations Ubisoft! I really like their Rayman/Rabbid games and so surprised not a single on is on here.
"even sprinkling in the top 10 selling games from a past year," eh? How about a top 10 for the megaton year of 1998?
How did Ubisoft even survive until this generation?

This is why Ubisoft is one of the only publishers out there with the guts to try and create new franchises. They understand the risk of doing something new is actually less than trying to keep an older franchise alive and relevant.
It's funny I always think Ubi is one of the only multi-plat publishers to get things right (as opposed to Crapcom, SE, etc). And Jeez at Just Dance
Interesting. Just Dance has gone up in sales while Assassins Creed has gone down, despite that both games are selling very well. It's no wonder yearly Assassins Creed games are released.
They are pretty much flat. You got to remember that Assassins's creed have been out for longer then the other games.

Nothing but Just Dance and Assassin's Creed. Wow. Expected a little more diversity with titles like Prince of Persia, Far Cry, Rayman, Rabbids, etc. in their portfolio.
