Block Defense Bonus Levels
After acquiring the Light Orb, talk to the cat in the far northwest corner of the castle's first floor to play the bonus levels. What makes these stages special is that every time you clear a stage, you get a Small Block. If you get a perfect clear, then you get two Small Blocks. Tirnaco's Errand is a good stage to farm Small Blocks on.

I feel this game kind of wasted a great idea. It's nice and fun to play and I'm actually addicted to it. But you can't avoid the Zelda comparisons. Dungeon design is pretty uninspired on this one.
