so, can someone explain to me why is it "stripped down to 4 buttons" according to 1UP, if we've been playing Tekken and Soul * games for years with less than 6 buttons ? :|

@juicy, that game is not the same as this one.

This 'new' one also released today in japan.

i think this can easily do 400k WW and considering that it sold 100k in japan already should bring a pretty good profit and a sequel

9.0 from IGN, 5/5 from X-Play, and one heck of a positive review from Joystiq. Gotta be a good game.

the Japanese version failed because capcom didn't offer anything, only 10 fighters and thats it, it was like a tech demo lol.. maybe this version will go off the shelf's in japan?

This isn't quite the same game as the one the Japanese got in '08, kind of like Super Street Fighter IV, so it makes sense to release this version in Japan.

This will definitely get a release of over 100k. Lets hope it can beat the 150k mark! But I do not want No More Heroes 2 sales to be hurt because of this. In fact, I want that game to sell more than this game.

Does this version just have a few new characters, or are there other differences also?

NOTE!
This is NOT exactly the same game as 'Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes' which is Japan exclusive.
This one here will not only be released in western territories but also in Japan.

Japan has their own version of the game that is older. THis one is actually like the "SUper" or "ultimate" version @Mr pugsly, Dont know what your issue with the online is, its actually pretty good, sure it doesnt have the feature set of an HD fighter, but its pratically lag free, which is all I was expecting from this

I actually prefer this over MvC3. They ruined it with all the combo juggling crap. Wish they would port it to the 360 and PS3. I'm not a fan of using the Wii online.

For a Capcpom fighter this game sold like hot garbage and had no lasting effect on the scene. Hopefully they'll give it a chance on a real console someday.
