It's so far from being the greatest game ever like Avarice mentioned though. That's virtually insulting to the JRPG genre =P. WKC is playable but I wouldn't consider it anything special to the genre. The game is amazing. Combat leaves something to be desired, but once you progress enough in the story it doesn't feel like you're sitting there for 10 seconds doing nothing. Once you setup combos and get a party it becomes very fun. The online is addicting as hell. I'm constantly looking for farming spots for materials and working on my "town". Co-op is amazing. This is my Monster Hunter alternative since I discovered the PS2 version waaay late and it was already dead.. And I don't want a Wii unless it's for Zelda. *crosses fingers for a PS3/360 MH in the future* Message | Report |

well I bought it cause it was sitting beside Mass Effect 2 in the new game section. So far its pretty good. Id say 7-8ish out of 10. If you liked the battles in FF 11 or 12 then id say get it, if you didn't you probably wont like this one either. Message | Report |

Might do well in the west, but, the issue is the battle system. I personally can't wait to get ahold of this game, but many people who complained about combining MMO gameplay with an offline RPG (ie ffxii) will complain about this game as well. The battle system is almost a direct clone of FFXI's battle system (which I happen to enjoy very much). Other knock on this game is the length of the game, it's a very short RPG. I've read the reviews on 1up, and RPGfan. I'll still get it to play it, but, it is definitely a niche title, and I don't see it doing more than 1 million world wide. Message | Report |

@ Zehira You do realize that Japanese retailers who send their product overseas still have to order the game from the publisher. Are you saying that if 10,000 copies were imported, those 10,000 that Sony shipped and retailers sold somehow do not count? Are you ridiculous? If I went to Japan and bought a few games, should those not count because I'm bringing them back to the US? Message | Report |

Zehria: I doubt that many copies were imported. There's no English language option (neither dub nor sub), which kindda limits its importing potential. But why shouldn't it count? Apart from it being impossible to differentiate between imported and non-imported sales, it doesn't make any difference in the long run, as each imported sales is a sale lost in the West. Total sales will be the same, regardless of importing. Message | Report |

Down to 10k sales in the fourth week, so it looks like this one won't be selling too many more copies. Not too bad considering the install base and the fact that it's a new IP but it's a shame that the PS3 hasn't done better in Japan as this could have been a bigger game. I'd really like to see JRPGs take hold on the PS3 - before Final Fantasy XIII comes out. Message | Report |
