I know. I am familiar with those DQ feelings. I have played them all too, and there are more DS owners globally than any other system. I just think HD would be like iceing on the cake. In an RPG, the story is the most important component though with music being second. Message | Report |

Yes put a game that see's 3/4 of its sales in Japan (based of Dragon Quest 8) On two consoles with a combined install base of 4.4 million To reach the sales it has now it would only need an attach rate of 3/4 But hey look at all the other successfull JRPG on the 360 and PS3 that sold over one million Oh wait theres none Riot Of The Blood seriously Message | Report |

@ NSS7 The only game that could top this opening week imo is Dragon Quest X, as for FF13 to top this would have to basically sell 2 copies per 3 PS3 owners in Japan on its opening day to basically just = this. That's why its basically impossible imo. And this is taking into account that the PS3 has sold 3.5 units in Japan by the time it releases. And MH3 no chance as well imo, Freedom unit on PSP sold like 860K opening week on a platform with about 11.5 million units when it released. So MH3 on a platform with 9 million units = no chance imo. And even Dragon Quest X is still very very very unlikely to top it, but if anything does imo it will be that. Message | Report |

I'm estimating 9 Million total sales in Japan. However, it won't even break a Million in America and Others combined. Even with the added Nintendo support. Unless of course, Square-Enix pushes to change the international image of Dragon Quest quickly with better localizations of the remaining Dragon Quest remakes and some good advertising backed by Nintendo. Which it doesn't look like that's happening. See more lackluster sales from even this Game of the Year quality title outside of Japan in the .20-.50 range while in Japan, it breaks records. @leyen: Huh??? FFVIII sold 3.63 million in Japan and this did 4.35 million. Not even close to double. It didn't even sell a million more. Plus, FFVIII is still the fastest-selling JRPG of all time.
