@NoirSon I don't think there will be another trilogy, or even a sequel. Like NSMB, if the sales keep up, making a sequel would actually be counterintuitive, because it could possibly ruin the first game's legs. If there absolutely must be a sequel, it'll probably be on the DS. Message | Report |

Unbelievable sales for this. A few years ago I thought Nintendo's original mascot was headed the way of the dodo, or at best resigned to cameos and roster appearances. 3m sales in a month is superb. Donkey Kong is back and here to stay. Hopefully Nintendo realise how badly we all want our classic franchises and get to work on new F-Zero and Star Fox games, amongst others. Message | Report |

obviously the holiday season has boosted it, but i think its been masively undershipped in the ik a least, and i presume many more places - ive been trying to buy this for weeks but cant get a copy anywhere (im sure i could order it online) but what im saying is that many, many potential uk sales will not happen until the new year purely because we are having to wait for it to be in stock anywhere! Games released during the holiday season don't always "sell well". If the game isn't good, the game will begin to plummet before the holidays are even over. If DKCR sells well consistently through december, it is a good sign. Message | Report |

@slyfox...I don't know if it could beat any of the SMGs. Having current sales of 10 and 6 million a piece and still selling is quite a big task to overcome. I think SMG1 will end up seling 11-12M lifetime and SMG2 around 7.5-8M. I only predict DKC:R selling between 4.5M-6M lifetime (still quite an acheivement in my humble prediction). TP only sold 7.4 M between the Wii and GCN and I don't see this game passing that. Message | Report |

The first being released during the launch year. (GoWIII sure didn't and won't touch it). Also, this game stands on it's own and I don't think Nintendo expected this to sell past SMG1&2. It should be able to reach 2.25m with Americas/Japan data. After that, I'd assume that it'll stabilize at 600k/week for two weeks, meaning about 3.5m. Then, depending on how holiday-inflated its sales are, it should do 100-300k. Taking 200k, it'll be 3.7m at year end. Awesome! Message | Report |

I don't know if it will get to 10 million or not, but that's the most reasonable goal for it. It'll make 5 million easy, and almost assuredly should get over 7.5 million. 10 mill's a maybe. Message | Report |

@ postofficebuddy, Donkey Kong Country itself was Western made and it sold almost as well as Super Mario World in Japan. I think DC'll be fine. A lot of casual Japanese gamers probably wouldn't known it wasn't homegrown, and DK is still a staple Nintendo character. Message | Report |

@ cs-manager Considering DKCR was only released in the America, that's the only terrain you can compare it on. Because of how crazy popular GT is in EMEAA it probably wouldn't have beaten it, but I bet Japan's DK numbers would've topped GT's too. Message | Report |

Holy crap. I was expecting high 200K on the high end for week one. This is going to crack a million easily. Probably well over 2 by the time it's done. DKC is back. Hopefully the kremlings return next time though. Message | Report |

This is really nice platformer in the vein of the old donkey kong country's. Plus you can flop back and forth between foreground and background much like Klonoa does. The bosses are hard, the levels are designed extremely well and the game is just really challening. Great job nintendo. Message | Report |
