This is the best Online Shooter on the Wii and besides Mario Kart the best Online Game on the Wii overall.

Graphics and the Single Player were a bit better in CoD WaW... It felt a bit closer to the HD Versions than Reflex, but its Single Player is still good.

Multiplayer is much better than in WaW: All game Modes, 10 instead of 8 Players, 16 instead of 8 Maps, much better controls and no shadow bugs and Map exploits.

To me, the online mode is more fun than the online mode of MW2 on the PS3. The great controls make it the better experience.

The reason why I do not want Modern Warfare 2 on the Wii because it would be a port. An HD port can never be as good as a ground up game for the Wii. This game despite being extremely fun, is not technically impressive. If the SAME game was made ground up for the Wii, It would look better and have a better frame rate. This game is awesome but not as awesome as we deserve. The Treyarch COD game they will release this year will be ground up for the Wii, that will look better, have more modes, options and stabler framerate. HECK, if enough effort is put in to it, it could PROBABLY run at 60 fps. Who knows? Maybe they might pull it off. I just want this new COD game to have everything the other consoles have and make this the definitive version. Wii deserve it.

Treyarch would have to port it which they are working on a NEW COD 7 which will come to the Wii and be better than MW2 anyway. To be honest, COD has been going downhill since 4.

Activision has thus far released a COD game every year on Wii. Why would this year be any different.

And seeing as how Treyarch is doing the next one, I am pretty sure it will be on the Wii the same time as the other consoles.

I mean I'm just surprised how well this game has sold as I had thought a lot of World at War success was due to advertising and COD 3 success due to cheap price. But what it really seems to be is the brand is quite popular on the Wii and just waiting for someone to throw it a bone haha.

I mean this game has sold 3/4 of a million with no advertising simply building off the success of the first 2, hype from the HD games, and general want of a solid online shooter or Zapper capable shooter.

Activision, freaking step up here. If you would have given this game the same marketing as the Cabela's game, you easily could have a game well over a million right now and coming close to 2 million.

Third parties just never cease to surprise me. Call of Duty could be just as huge on Wii, but I guess they are content with just 1-1.5 million in sales for CoD Wii games but they could have so much more.

Generally regarding NPD numbers, while they do not have access to Walmart numbers, they estimate them, so that number (if correct) already took Walmart into account.

Looks like it just got adjusted up to 528k. Wow. Guys, is vgchartz really accurate or are they just putting in good guesses? NPD stated that the game is over 500k and that supposedly doesn't include Wal-Mart. So what the hell is going on with their numbers? Shouldn't be closer to 600k in the US then?

On another note- game is undertracked by 80,000 or more if NPD data is to be trusted - there have been several Neogaf posts saying that NPD lifetime data for Reflex is over 500,000 (NPD is US week ending January 2nd).

@ash3336 - I own a business. If I find that something works for me and everybody else thinks it doesn't work (or hasn't tried it), I am very reluctant to let other people know. So unless they are feeling altruistic (or have some other motive), I don't see Activision announcing anything like that.

True, Wii owners don't want on rails games (no matter how good they really are) cheap ports (I wouldnt call this a cheap port..compared to others atleast). They want, as you said big budget titles that put the Wii controls to good use.

Great sales, considering it's a 2 years old port with the sequel released same time. This game is proving how wrong the media and the third-parties are about the Wii. This "casual only audience" doesn't exists and Wii can handle HD engines even with downgraded graphics. The truth is: release good games for Wii made by top-notch developers with great appeal to general market, not some "test-games", casual stuff and targeted toward a limited audience, and you'll get good sales.

it may come out worse...but you can still compare it...!

imo, it may be worse graphically, online whatever, but to me the controls go a long way to bridging thst gap.

and the negative diffeence is not so huge that its a game breaker.

i played this on my bother's ps3 at christmas, after having played the wii version myself, and the graphics werent TOO dissimilar - obviously more muddy, texturless and worse lighting/shadows, but the models, motion, look and feel of the game remained.
but the controls are SOOOOO much better on the wii.

im so glad its doing well, it deserves it. if this had been released at the same time as the ps360 versions, sales would be double or triple this.

hopefully treyarch will be tasked with MW2 for next christmas after this show.
and even though ill own a ps3 by then, ill still by the wii version as the wiimote/nunchuck were BORN for fps's!

i hope sega take note of this as well as dead space!

im now gonna buy world at war!

Adjusted down 4k. This is already in the top 10 best selling mature game on the Wii. Next week it will beat Overkill and NMH to become the 5th best selling mature game on the wii. It will go on to become 4th best selling game beating HotD2&3 but I do not think it will beat world at war. Million for this game is great. MW2 by springtime or summertime.

I don't quite get your point, but Dead Space:E is the only rail shooter that does count as a AAA non port Wii game. As far as "dumbed down" ports not counting as "real games", MW:Reflex is not as stripped down as you'd think. There is no voice chat or HD, but the controls are better then the pad systems, and the levels are fully intact. It would be nice if an original IP on Wii could live up to this port though, I agree.

Went into a supermarket in the UK last night and this was sitting at number 7 on the Wii chart. That's good news in the xmas run up. It's not far behind WAW on sales and as primogen said, without any advertisement (I remember seeing WAW advertised everywhere) this is doing great. I look forward to more people online to destroy lol

A mistake? I beg to differ. This game got ZERO promotion on it's own, and while the MW2 release worked against it, it was actually more of a boost. Most places that had special MW2 displays and such put MW:RE out there too. (walmart, toys r us, etc). If MW2 hadn't had shared some of the that (though the little it shared), MW:RE would have had that much less exposure. It's not like this would have had anything at all on it's own, it would have dropped even more silently. I think sharing a special display with MW2 is better then nothing.

I don't know about the other, but the Conduit was massibely adjusted down after the NPD numbers were revealed. Here it had a 110k+ launch before it was adjusted.

NPD stopped collecting data for the month of November on the 28th. This leaves two days unaccounted for.

Also data from Canada, Mexico, and Latin America is not counted by the NPD data that was recently released.

Is Latin America even tracked at all?

With the exact number of 106,854 copies sold at 50$ each this game has already made over 5 million dollars. If we suggest that tyretch gets about 20.00 per game they have made just over 2 million dollars on this port alone. And its still selling.
