The game will surely pass a million when the holidays come around and the inevitable Nintendo deals this year. Just because this game hasn't been selling well, doesn't mean Retro or Nintendo won't make DK games in the future. The Metroid and Fire Emblem series had several sequels despite some of them not selling well. Comparing sales to those games and the DK series, they are mincemeat compared to DK. So it is laughable to think Nintendo will ignore the 6 million sales of DKCR and abandon this series just because whiny fanboys can't get what they want. Whether Retro makes another DK, Metroid, or new/old IP, all that you should expect out of this wonderful company is excellent and fun triple A experiences. If Nintendo did force Retro into making this, I highly doubt they minded because what we have here is a top notch game. The sheer dedication from the team shows. Message \| Report

Time has passed and platformers don't sell people a console anymore, unfortunately. Metroid definitely should have move systems, even today and with Wii U's crisis. I predict 400K units sold by June, and 100-150K more for the rest for the year. So I only expect 500-550 units sold this year, and that's not good considering Donkey Kong Country good history. Metroid Prime probably would have been a better game to put out at this point in time to bring in a different audience to the Wii U. Metroid has a very hardcore fan base, and it's a niche franchise. Donkey Kong is a tremendous franchise, when the user base is in place, to move a lot of software. Not a lot of consoles. I don't think Donkey Kong has been a true system seller since Donkey Kong Country hit the SNES. Message \| Report

This game, meanwhile, will sell for at least two years, compared to the roughly 1 year DKCR sold large quantities during. I'm thinking about 900,000 sales in America, 700,000 in Europe, 300,000 in Japan, and about 200,000 elsewhere. Message \| Report

The game will surely pass a million when the holidays come around and the inevitable Nintendo deals this year. Just because this game hasn't been selling well, doesn't mean Retro or Nintendo won't make DK games in the future. The Metroid and Fire Emblem series had several sequels despite some of them not selling well. Comparing sales to those games and the DK series, they are mincemeat compared to DK. So it is laughable to think Nintendo will ignore the 6 million sales of DKCR and abandon this series just because whiny fanboys can't get what they want. Whether Retro makes another DK, Metroid, or new/old IP, all that you should expect out of this wonderful company is excellent and fun triple A experiences. If Nintendo did force Retro into making this, I highly doubt they minded because what we have here is a top notch game. The sheer dedication from the team shows. Message \| Report

I predict 400K units sold by June, and 100-150K more for the rest for the year. So I only expect 500-550 units sold this year, and that's not good considering Donkey Kong Country good history.
