	mrstickball posted 26/12/2009, 08:05 I have about 6 hours into the game. I rented it for the Christmas work break, and figured I could either beat it, or get close to beating it by then. The camera during exploration SUCKS. Otherwise, its a good game - much better than IU, which uses the same engine. The other thing I dislike is the battle bonus board - losing all your gems after you re-load a save is retarded. I had a great +7 SP bonus that I wanted to keep. It'd be nice if you could keep at least half of the gems after loading. Message \| Report

However, I do like SOs, I enjoyed the part of SO 3 that I played, and I feel that having it on 1 disc is superior. May I point out the reason that I think this is such a problem, is because in the IGN review they warned that once you finish the game, you cannot just continue playing just on disc 3, you will have to change discs to go back to old planets, unlike Lost Odyssey. I don't get why what I said makes me a fanboy, and I don't appriechiate the accusation. Anyway, in terms of sales it is okay, but there was a lot of TV advertising, so they probably would have been expecting more Message \| Report

I wouldn't recommend it to most JRPG fans, the dialogue is cheesy, the entire game is inexplicably bright, the story is okay and the voice acting ranges from good to incredibly annoying. I especially dislike whenever there is a turning point for any given character or the group is about act/embark on a certain mission, they always each have a one liner to deliver... the dialogue is just that awful. It's one saving grave is it's fantastic battle system. Unfortunately, it's somewhat marred with a horrid targeting system. My advice, get Tales of Vesperia if you haven't already. Much better in every aspect than this... I was hopeful too, after enjoying SO 1 & 2 on PSP. Message \| Report

The combat is really fun soo far and it seems to be a level up from Last Remnant and Indfinite Discover from my initial impressions. However, I do like SOs, I enjoyed the part of SO 3 that I played, and I feel that having it on 1 disc is superior. May I point out the reason that I think this is such a problem, is because in the IGN review they warned that once you finish the game, you cannot just continue playing just on disc 3, you will have to change discs to go back to old planets, unlike Lost Odyssey. I don't get why what I said makes me a fanboy, and I don't appriechiate the accusation. Anyway, in terms of sales it is okay, but there was a lot of TV advertising, so they probably would have been expecting more Message \| Report

I wouldn't recommend it to most JRPG fans, the dialogue is cheesy, the entire game is inexplicably bright, the story is okay and the voice acting ranges from good to incredibly annoying. I especially dislike whenever there is a turning point for any given character or the group is about act/embark on a certain mission, they always each have a one liner to deliver... the dialogue is just that awful. It's one saving grave is it's fantastic battle system. Unfortunately, it's somewhat marred with a horrid targeting system. My advice, get Tales of Vesperia if you haven't already. Much better in every aspect than this... I was hopeful too, after enjoying SO 1 & 2 on PSP. Message \| Report
