Well, here we go again. In a couple of days, we'll get a new generation of Pokemon games, this time being the first generation on an HD consoles: Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Since the announcement of the game, reactions to Game Freak's work has been... divisive to say the absolute least. This seems to be the most controversial game Game Freak has ever done for the franchise, considering some of the key choices done for it.

So what do you think the Metacritic score is going to be? Will the reviewers take into consideration the changes done for the better or the worse? Or will they just give it the regular scores Pokemon games usually get?

I've a feeling the review's are going to be in line with Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's review scores. I'm going to guess an 80-85 as the range, but my actual guess is 83. Though I'm hoping the leaks just simply aren't true and it's a much better game than it seems.

Its probably a 75 game, but since its Pokemon critics will be "nice", 85 sounds reasonable.

85 is my guess. I think many of the changes will end up being for the better, despite all the interwebz crying. Though who knows, maybe I am wrong. We find out in a couple of days.

A huge portion of the fanbase is enraged, but looking at how critics reviewed previous games, I'm not sure if that's going to mean anything for SWSH's metascore. I mean, Let's Go got the same scores as Black 2/White 2. That's not a good sign.

I voted 83-84, but those 2 point variant wagers seem harsh. And the flat 80 is nasty! I think I'll save my dollar.

Well thats curious, I always thought Emerald was among the best by the time it came out, and yet its the lowest rated.
Maybe its just because I like the color green tho.
