Both of these games are quite similar. They are both action games with survival horror elements. Both had amazing graphics for their time. Both feature a man protecting a young girl, basically as one long escort mission.

And both were widely regarded as Game of the Year when they launched. But which is better?

RE4 has been one of my favorite games for a long time but TLOU just blew me away. TLOU has a longer campaign and the multiplayer is awesome so it gets my vote.

RE 4. TLOU is a great game, but I definitely prefer RE 4 to it, which is one of my favorite games.

Still have to finish TLOU but from what I've played I would still pick RE4.

RE4. I love both games, but I think RE4 was more influential in the design of TPS.
