I'm on the 3rd disc, so far good, but I wouldn't call it best JRPG of last gen.  Gameplay is a straight forward turn based RPG.  I didn't really like the main character that much, not to spoil anything, but he basically has no emotions at first, but that's part of the story, even after that though hes pretty lifeless apart from the big moments SPOILER like his daughter dieing or getting his wife back.   Those little background stories really brought him to life for me, but you have to go out of your way to find them, I found myself looking at guides cause if I didn't get them I felt I was missing out and tbh without them I wouldn't care half as much about the main character.  I will say though those stories are really well written.  The story so far is good, the story in JRPGs usually is the best near the end so someone else is probably better to explain that since I'm only on the 3rd disc.

Best HD console JRPG last gen. Overall a lot of good jrpgs was on DS and we shouldn't forget Xenoblade, but in my opinion Lost Odyssey is THE best jrpg on x360/ps3.

It is currently 3:45 AM... I will try to write you a detailed post if I remember tomorrow. Just know that this is my personal GOTG last gen, and is one of my favorite games of all time. 100% recommendation if you like an old school like FF turn-based game with a deep, emotional and epic journey!

It is 4 discs, but there is no downloadable version on Xbox :(

I think... Plus loading times are pretty much gone if you install the discs.
