Now I love the game, but I don't think it deserves a 10 for graphics. Many other 3DS better show off the system's capabilities, and the 3D frame rate issue is quite annoying. I'd give it an 8 for that topic.

Although it is still one of the best additions to the series.

Hmmm, I haven't played the game, but I'm pretty sure the music its too far of being the best in the series (I heard the whole soundtrack on youtube), maybe you haven't played all the previous games. Graphics aren't 10 and the replay value is not high from what someone said to me. I think 94 is way too high, but I agree with most of your review and respect your opinion :v

Pokemon games are some of the most replayable games ever. One generation over another, that doesn't change. Especially since this one has such a wide array of Pokemon to choose from. Your team can be quite different. Graphics wise Basil was most likely talking in comparison to other Pokemon/3DS games. In that case, X/Y would be 8.5 or more.

However, I do agree that 94 is kind of high. I would give it somewhere in the vein of 8/10.

It was a huge let down to me. This is coming from someone who's owned every Pokemon game.

I think Pokemon X/Y was epic!!! Yea the story wasn't that great but the graphics was just soo good!! I don't usually care about graphics over everything too much but this is where it made the game for me along with mega evolutions and etc

You know all my pros and cons from our lengthy X/Y discussions, so I'll leave it at that.

Well if you mean "competitive", then yes. I'm of those who finish the campaign and never look back (except for Ruby). I'll give you that, but still is not a 10, you are just making the same thing over and over.

Okay, but even then I still think that a 10 is pushing it.  Maybe a 9 if we're ignoring 3D.  Hopefully Z makes that all beautiful.
