Glad the 4xMSAA is back... no more PS3 MLAA or FXAA... this was the biggest news ever for me.

1080p with 4xMSAA is MEGATON to me.

From what little I've seen of this game, I got to say it indeed looks quite amazing. I agree usually AA looks better than 1080, so that should be good news. Also didn't know this would be a single-player 3rd person action/adventure... just as I like it. Guess I should start paying some attention then !

If I understood that twit correctly, currently it's 1920x800 with 4xMSAA vs 1920x1080 with no MSAA...IIRC, first time they revealed the game they were talking about 1920x800 and "filmic" experience...

I'm trying to understand yet... 1920x800 with 4xMSAA... 1920x1080 means not "no MSAA" but cheaper MSAA... well 1920x1080 wit 2xMSAA? Yet the best AA solution out on consoles.

I don't need competitive, but it would have been nice to get a co-op online game since they already have that squad structure to the story for the main campaign.

Hopefully this 1st game turns out good and lots of players enjoy, then the sequel can have co-op

Oh some GAFers explained to me....

"He's saying 1080p without MSAA would be less hardware intensive than what they're doing now with 800x4xMSAA."

So the guy said that 1080p without MSAA uses less hardware than what they are running now 800p with 4xMSAA... so 1080p with 2xMSAA is one option before the performance gets trouble with 1080p with 4xMSAA.

GAF found a Read of Dawn's presentation about AA.

Yeah, that's about right...performance difference between 2xMSAA and 4xMSAA is somewhere around 35%.

PS4 hardware is weak for 1080p with 4xMSAA... sad
