Hey guys,

Has anyone here played and finished Enslaved?

I have finished it yesterday, and really liked it.

The story is a re-imagining of the ancient Chinese story Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of China. Unlike the original story that was set in a fantastical version of ancient China, the game is set 150 years in a future post-apocalyptic world following a global war, with only remnants of humanity left, along with the still active war machines left over from the conflict. Like the original story however, the plot revolves around someone who forces the help and protection of a warrior, with many characters sharing the same names and roles. The game's story was written by Alex Garland, with voice talent and motion capture from Andy Serkis and Lindsey Shaw.

The graphics are adorable and the facial modeling was only second to L.A. Noire with nicer graphics. The gameplay was allright but many action games have done it much better. And the bugs where a bit annoying . But I really liked the game overall. And Trip is one of the most beautiful female characters ever put in a game.

It's lacking in the gameplay department. Perhaps I only played it because Andy Serkis is in it.

Hmm, it was quite decent, not a super game by any stretch, but well worth the money and time it takes to play it.

gameplay isn't very good, it has great art design, story and characters though.

Depending on how much you weight those factors, is probably how most people liked the game.

Yeah, I played through around the time it came out. What I remember most is the amazing presentation, one of the best looking games of this gen. Its one of those games that does pretty much everything right, shame it didn't perform better.

That description kinda describes most adventure games.

Most good adventure games atleast in the past had a lot better puzzles. And didn't focus on clunky combat however. Compared to current adventures games, like what Dreamfall did, that I've played that statement is true. But this is action adventure anyways. Not really the same genre, as Siberia, Escape from Monkey Island, Longest Journey, etc.
