Hi Guys, do you think it is possible to re-invent the world of the original The Legend Of Zelda for the Wii U?
HD graphics - and link as it appears in his new look?

well it would be a ton of work...if they are willing to go that far just make a new game
For it to work as a modern game they would have to give it so much work - like more items, things to do in dungeons, characters, story, etc... that it wouldn't even look like the first Zelda anymore.
Remaking Link to The past is actually easy - it's all there. But Zelda 1 is too ancient. Leave it as a classic. Or do a reboot, but not using the structure of the first.
It is as VicViper said. It would be like remaking Super Mario Bros: for a retail game, there isn't really enough there anymore.
The structure of the original LoZ, sure, but the game itself would need heavy revision.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
I think it would work. If I had a few million that is the first thing I'd do. Perhaps a modern save system and overworld map would need to be added but changing the dialogue/gameplay/characters/challenge/music is not acceptable and that kind of BS is why I never buy remakes. You're not improving the game like that.
Most of all I don't want it remade in puzzle-heavy Ocarina style.
They could modernise it a bit like they did with mario:
Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I'm joking, because that negative one liner was exactly like Kyliedog's style. Now he has nothing to say in this thread anymore, all thanks to you!
BTW... I never played Skyward Sword, but while TP was great, it wasn't GREAT, too much stuff besides the important stuff. So I agree with you there, especially if SS follows the same path.
But that opinion only goes to console games. Portable games have never been as good as in the DS games - Ocarina 3D doesn't really count, but it's amazing too.
It's possible. But they would have to overhaul all the art assets basically reskinning the game. As long as there is a emuator that is able to run NES code, since it is backward compatible with the Wii, that would be the only thing that needs to be changed to make it HD.
The only way I could see them pulling it off is if they make "New Legend of Zelda," which, as weird as it might sound, I could see them doing...
Have a nice day...
