This is after the company announced that the game shipped 200,000 units in its first week in the United States, making it the biggest launch in Atlus history.
VGChartz has sales at a combined 440,000 units at the end of August. The PlayStation 3 version sold 331,000 and the Xbox 360 version 109,000. That would put 60,000 copies on store shelves. Catherine has sold an addition 30,000 copies since the end of August, which puts sales to date at 470,000.

I think 500k is AMAZING! And well above Atlus' expectations.
Atlus are right, closing the door on yourself by saying this will not be appreciated outside like others do, I think the results are satisfying so congratulation, if it goes to 1M worldwide, then it will be amazing
Could they ship a few in Europe?
Atlus caters to its fans. This is why I like them.
Its not out in Europe yet, not until 2012. and its only been out a few months. i'm sure it will get to 1 mil at least by this time next year.
great news, i hope King of fighters XIII make the same sucess ( atlus is publishers of this game too)
That sucks! The game opened so well, and got such great hype, and now to most people, it's a forgotten title. I know it's still a lot for a JRPG, but I was really hoping this one would break 1 million.
I wish it were selling more on a weekly basis, 30k WW in 6 weeks is only 5k weekly for both consoles combined.
