PS5, FC 26, and Hogwarts Legacy Have Strong Black Friday Week on the European Charts - Sales

November 30 includes Black Friday, which saw an uptick for every game in the top 20, except for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which released just a few weeks earlier.
Hogwarts Legacy is up two spots to second place, Battlefield 6 dropped one spot to fourth place, Red Dead Redemption 2 remained in fifth place, It Takes Two is up one spot to sixth place, and Grand Theft Auto 5 fell one spot to seventh place.

The report did reveal UK hardware figures for the week from NielsenIQ. Console sales in the UK increased seven percent in terms of units sold, while revenue increased 14 percent.
The PS5 was the best-selling console in the UK for the week, accounting for 62 percent of all consoles sold. Sales were up 16 percent compared to the previous year and was the only console to perform better year-over-year.
The Nintendo Switch 2 came in second place as it accounted for 23 percent of all consoles sold for the week. The Xbox Series X|S came in third place with a 10 percent marketshare, followed by the original Nintendo Switch in fourth place with five percent of the total hardware sales.
The PS5 Pro did have its best week in sales outside of its launch week. It did hit its lowest price to date for the week as it was down to £586. The average price of the PS5 was £340 for the week, which was only the seventh time it dropped below £400. The price of the PS5 Digital Edition was down 34 percent compared to the previous two weeks, while the PS5 with a disc drive was 21 percent lower.
The price of the Xbox Series X|S was £385, which was eight percent lower than the previous two weeks. The price of the Switch 2 was down three percent to £405.

Wow this is pretty impressive for a 5 year old console. I have a feeling its up in the US too YoY. The biggest driver for growth is the fact that the holiday sale started before it did last year in the US. And honestly, I think people are rushing to get it at a lower price before prices go up again.
