Halo Infinite Video Showcases Improvements to Campaign Visuals - News

Earlier today, publisher Microsoft and developer 343 Industries released the first look at campaign gameplay of Halo Infinite since Summer 2020. There was backlash following the 2020 gameplay demo due to technical and visual issues.

YouTube user ElAnalistaDebits has now posted a video comparing the visuals in the latest campaign gameplay video to the Summer 2020 gameplay demo. There is a distinct improvement to how the game looks.

Here is an overview of the game:

The Banished have defeated UNSC forces and taken control of the mysterious Zeta Halo, threatening the survival of humankind. When all hope is lost and humanity’s fate hangs in the balance, the Master Chief returns to confront the most ruthless foe he’s ever faced.

Here’s a fresh look at the Halo Infinite campaign that introduces players to true Spartan freedom in the biggest, most wide open and adventure-filled Halo experience yet, launching on December 8 2021.

Halo Infinite will launch on December 8 for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

Looks like delaying it a year was the right call, looks significantly better.

It's even crazier when you realise that this is being done real time without pre-baked shadows and with a dynamic time-of-day so you can blitz back through these areas at night and still have it look every bit as good.

Night and day difference!

Looks like the team ACTUALLY used all that extra time to give it that pop it deserves.

I don't think it's any less unworthy than most other cross-gen games, though. And more worthy than some. Keep in mind that it is a semi-open world game, which means character design and set-pieces will be slightly lower fidelity than if it were more scripted and the game world smaller. You've got to compare like for like.
