Unlike PS All Stars, this game is not afraid to closely follow Smash Bros.' KO system. I think that is better than what Sony tried. Only being to KO with special moves was limiting and not as fun IMO.

Agreed. Depending on the price I might pick it up. I grew up watching a lot of Nickelodeon in the 90's and early 2000's.

I agree with you here. However, I understand that Sony already was closely following the Smash formula. So they probably wanted to do something different. They tried it and it didn't work out as well. Still the overall game was f'ing awesome. At the time, it was definitely a game that was closest to Smash (not saying that it's anywhere near Smash's quality). I would welcome a PSABR2.

Still surprised to see Ren & Stimpy content here considering the show's creator was outed as a pedophile.

He didn't really have the rights to the show over time, it was Nick that ended up owning the rest of his stuff, hence why when he left and tried to do stuff on his own, he couldn't do much with R&S.

True. Plus, just because John K turned out to be an utter scumbag doesn't mean everyone else who worked on Ren & Stimpy should be under a stigma. They didn't like working with him anyway.

Yeah, he as a bit of a commanding asshole, much like Butch Hartman.

Butch Hartman is worse. He mocked a suicide victim right to the face of one of the victim's closest friends.

That and he tried using teens to work for him for free, as well as that KS for "religious" animations, which was sketchy as hell.

If you look at his actual Fairly Odd parents sketches, they actually look worse than the show's final renders, that's because there was another artist on the team that improved Butch's drafts, making Hartman more of a hack artist when you look back on the show.

So his shows would've been better off without him?

Given if he had handed over his drafts for a quick paycheck and told to jog on afterwards, yeah. Same goes for R&S creator as well, though he did actually provide more than mere draft sketches.

Nice to see that there's a fair number of characters from the 90's, 00's, and recent times.

If they get some more iconic nickelodeon characters I'm down with this!
Danny phantom, turtles, invader Zim and spongy bob is a step in the right direction!

It actually looks pretty good if you want a Smash Bros clone.

I'm sure Timmy Turner, Jimmy Neutron, Aang (from Avatar), etc will be making an appearance here. I'm getting this. My childhood is in this game and it looks good in my opinion.

Nigel Thornberry makes the entire game for me. If they don't have Tim Curry doing the lines I'll be gutted (I know he's old af now, but we gotta keep that flame alive).
