PS4 and Xbox One are respectfully legacy now as they should be. The main focus here being current 9th gen Switch, PS5, and Series X&S. Love it VGChartz.

Same, I have a little tough time to read it every time, but the least we should do would be to open a topic and make a proposition, not only criticize.
Yeah, but we already talked about this and I've said with this the Switch would appear as a 100% market share console and that we should keep tje PS4 and Xbox One until they are discontinued at least, and that's what happened anyway.
Isn't that what happened when the switch was introduced? The ps4 and xbone split the share. It just seems like the precedent was followed from the last time.
I think the problem is that the ps4 and xbone would hide the important data. People probably care more about 2020/2021 market share between gen 9 than all consoles. Especially given the fact that the "legacy" consoles might be discontinued in the near future. The 3ds already is discontinued.
The old charts still exist for the previous years. But how useful is it to compare switch sales to the less than 100,000 total of the "legacy" consoles?

The new consoles are selling well and the "legacy" are at less than 100,000 total for the week globally. I don't think there's much of a point in dwelling on them. Certain models are already getting discontinued.
They aren't providing useful data compared to the gen 9. To put it in perspective, the series are almost outselling ps4, xbone, and 3ds combined. And it still has stock shortages.
