One of the new features of the Xbox Series X|S is called Quick Resume. It lets you pause multiple games at any given time and instantly return to them where you left off. However, at launch the feature didn't work on every game on the next-generation consoles. Microsoft has been working on improving the feature.

Xbox director of program management Jason Ronald in an interview on Major Nelson's Podcast stated the Xbox team is continuing to work on the Quick Resume feature and it has been reenabled for more than 20 Xbox Series X and optimized for Series X titles.

The team plans to keep working with publishers and developers to get the Quick Resume feature working on as many games as possible.

"We’ve reenabled Quick Resume for more than 20 Xbox Series X and Series X optimized titles including Gears 5Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and just this week we reenabled Quick Resume for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and we’re gonna continue to work very closely with partners to make sure that the feature is working as we expect," said Ronald.

"We’ll continue to reenable this for as many titles as we can over the coming days and weeks, and then we’re gonna really make sure that players are getting what they expect."

Ronald added they are listening to feedback from the community on how they want to use the Quick Resume feature, which includes the ability to know which games support the feature and which ones do not.

"We’re listening to feedback from the community on how gamers want to use Quick Resume. We’re really listening to that feedback and some of the feedback that we’ve heard is the ability to know which games are Quick Resume enabled versus not, or knowing which titles have a current Quick Resume state saved and other ideas that players have."
