Microsoft Flight Simulator Adds VR Support on December 23, UK World Update in January - News

Publisher Microsoft and developer Asobo Studio during official Microsoft Flight Simulator developer Q&A on Twitch announced Microsoft Flight Simulator will be getting VR support on December 22, as well as a UK World Update on January 26, 2021. 

The virtual reality support will be added in the free Sim Update 2 and will add support for all major VR headsets. 

"It will be open to all devices. Oculus family, Valve family – every family of headset is going to be supported," said executive producer Martial Bossard.

World Update 3, will add more accuracy and detail to the UK using new data and images for England, Scotland, and Wales. 50 to 60 new points of interest will be added, including landmarks and procedural buildings, and improvements made to airports.

Updates for Northern Ireland are also in the works, however, it might not be ready for World Update 3 when it launches on January 26, 2021.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, and will be coming to Xbox consoles in 2021.
