Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal announced Rainbow Six Siege will launch for the Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5 on December 1. Users who own the game on PS4 or Xbox one can upgrade to the next-generation version for free.
The game on Xbox Series X and PS5 will have a resolution mode and a performance mode that will run the game at either 4K resolution or 120 frames per second. "Displays that support other configurations — including 4K 60 FPS, 1080p 120 FPS, or 1080p 60 FPS — should run at their max resolution and FPS," said Ubisoft.
"Rainbow Six Siege on the new generation of consoles will also take advantage of new features such as enhanced audio capabilities, as well as the PS5’s DualSense controller capabilities and Activities feature," said Ubisoft.
"Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions have been updated with streamlined intro sequences and better accessibility, with text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and readability options. And all versions will benefit from Ubisoft Connect integration."
