Independent developer Thunder Lotus has shared fresh new gameplay from Spiritfarer, the "cozy management game about dying". The Second Spiritfarer Gameplay Teaser shines a spotlight on the game’s more dynamic platforming levels, which serve as a counterpoint to Spiritfarer’s management gameplay and emotional narrative. The teaser premiered today alongside like-minded games on the Wholesome Direct showcase.

In addition, the developer has announced its plans to participate in the upcoming Steam Game Festival – Summer Edition by hosting an AMA on June 10, 2020. Thunder Lotus looks forward to discussing its approach to delivering an experience that is both entertaining and emotionally moving in Spiritfarer, as well as answering any other questions the studio's fans may have. Fans are encouraged to check Spiritfarer’s Steam page for upcoming details about the AMA event.

"It's great to be able to showcase some of the great gameplay variety we're building into Spiritfarer with this Teaser," said Spiritfarer Creative Director Nicolas Guérin in a prepared statement. "The game's development is coming along very smoothly, and our great community has been quite vocal about their anticipation. I look forward to fielding their questions during the AMA."

About Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. What will you leave behind?

Spiritfarer is scheduled for release in 2020 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
