Nintendo Switch Tops an Estimated 36 Million Units Sold Worldwide to Consumers - Sales

Nintendo's hybrid console, the Switch, has surpassed 36 million units sold worldwide to consumers, according to our estimates for the week ending July 13, 2019. The console sold 244,583 units to bring its lifetime sales to 36,069,690 units worldwide. 

Breaking down hardware sales by region, the Switch has sold best in the US with an estimated 12,460,789 units sold (35%), compared to 9,658,473 units sold in Europe (27%) and 8,480,138 units in Japan (24%). Looking more closely at Europe, the console has sold an estimated 1,832,890 units in the UK, 1,562,651 units in Germany, and 2,427,264 units in France.

 

The Nintendo Switch launched worldwide on March 3, 2017.

Wait, so France alone accounts for 1/4 of total European sales? Wowser, didn't realize the French were so much more taken with the Switch than their fellow Europeans

They already did with the Wii U, which sold a good chunk more in France than in Germany or the UK.

@siebensus4: Of course, considering how the 80's and early 90's looked there on TV. Club Dorothée, Récré A2, La cinq... You could marathon trough anime series all day long by zapping between the channels. A whole generation got addicted to anime back then. Merci Dorothée!

i agree is 42.9 is too high, i said that number cause that is the xbox one stimated total sales. The shipped numbers are always higher than sold numbers and the report should have 2 extra weeks so i expect around 38-39
