I don't how you can predict a Nintendo handheld to be a commercial bomb.

@Proxy-Pie if it makes you feel better, I don't even think these kind of comments are funny. I just wanted a chance to use the exaggerated Shakespeare translator I found.

Now to see some better Japanese developer support eh? Companies like SEGA, Atlus, Level 5, Bandai Namco, Konami should be all over the Switch, at least with AA titles (screw Capcom)

Well, Sega, Square and Bandai already putting a lot of titles on Switch, still missing some high profile stuff (Yakuza, Kingdom Hearts, Shonen Jump). Konami, well seeing the overall output of them - I think they are already all in on Switch, that's all they have to offer these days.

And atlus has already shown support early on- it's just that it takes them a while to actually get a game out.

"(screw Capcom)"

Slow down there. Not before the greatest game ever made, RE4, gets released on Switch.

Oh don't get me wrong, I used to love Capcom. My favorite game of all time, and first game ever was Gargoyle's Quest on the GB.

And I loved RE, Zack & Wiki, MH, Phoenix Wright, Powerstone, Duck Tales, Street Fighter and many of their games.

They suck now, though.

Not many games on it I care about to get the system but I'm glad it's doing good. Will buy one in the future.

And Japan is still waiting on DQXI next year, mainline Pokemon next year, Animal Crossing, another mainline Pokemon in a few years, and I gotta believe a mainline Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy will make it to the Switch as it'd be insane to put those games on PS4 when Switch is gonna have over double the install base and many times more games being sold. It'll probably hit 10 million before the holidays next year.

Its a handheld. Who didn't expect it to sell in Japan?

Switch took 79 weeks to reach 5mil. While PSP is 117 weeks, and PSV 234 Weeks. So its more like how fast it reached it. And not all handhelds do it really fast.

But it is a Nintendo handheld. You can't compare sony handhelds to nintendo handhelds.
