The VGChartz Gap charts are updated monthly and each article focuses on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation platforms, as well as comparisons within the 8th generation. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.'

Xbox One Vs. Xbox 360 Global:

Gap change in latest month: 150,924 – X360

Gap change over last 12 months: 1,799,543 – X360

Total Lead: 1,820,355 - XOne

Xbox One Total Sales: 25,466,579

Xbox 360 Total Sales: 23,646,224

November 2016 is the 37th month of the Xbox One being on sale. The gap decreased during the month when compared to the Xbox 360’s 37th month on sale by 150,924 units in favor of the Xbox 360 and 1.80 million units in the last 12 months. The Xbox One currently leads by 1.82 million units.

Both consoles launched in November. The Xbox 360 launched in November 2005, while the Xbox One launched in November 2013. The Xbox One has sold 25.47 million units, while its predecessor the Xbox 360 sold 23.65 million units.

I think we all expect Xbox One to eventually be lower than 360 numbers, its just taking longer than expected.

Kudos to X1, going strong in spite of a bad launch and no help from Japan.

How so? Scorpio will help keep momentum, if not boost it by a significant margin. But I agree that I can't see Xbox One selling 80 million LTD.

Perhaps 60 million if things don't go wrong?

We'll wait and see what impact Scorpio has, hopefully it will be good.

Its hard to imagine X1 will sell 80 million but maybe in 2021 we'll have an even more powerful X1. If MS keeps making new X1s then its possible.
