I'm gonna call somewhere between July and December 2017 where the PS4 finally surpassed the 3DS

Also, I'd REALLY like to see an Xbox One vs Nintendo 3DS comparison

would not get your hopes up regarding the Xone ever catching the 3DS, considering weekly CURRENTLY, despite the 3DS being like a year or two older, it still is outselling the Xone

For now it is, but that was the same case last year, and then when the holiday season rolled around was when the Xbox One took charge and went ahead.
Now granted, there was no Pokemon for the 3DS like it has this year, but with Gears 4 and the Slim model, I think the same thing will happen again.

Well... on second thought, maybe I'm underestimating the system selling power of Pokemon, especially given that its the 20th Anniversary and with Pokemon GO... I'll wait and see how this plays out.

I love seeing this comparison. who would have thought during last gen looking at DS vs ps3 sales that this gen the ps4 would beat the 3DS so easily.

How the console and gaming market has changed. As a Playstation fan I take great satisfaction in seeing this. Home consoles all the way!

The 3DS has impressive sales considering the current state mobile market, but of course it's not gonna match a home console that has everything going for it. It'll outsell it likely by the end of 2017/early 2018.
