PS4 vs Xbox One in the US – VGChartz Gap Charts – February 2016 Update - Sales

The VGChartz Gap charts are updated monthly and each article focuses on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation platforms, as well as comparisons within the 8th generation. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.

PS4 Vs. XOne US:

Gap change in latest month: 155,793 – PS4

Gap change over last 12 months: 954,548 – PS4

Total Lead: 1,609,841 – PS4

PS4 Total Sales: 13,161,118

Xbox One Total Sales: 11,551,277

In February 2016 the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One grew in favor of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 sold 155,793 more units than the Xbox One in the last month to bring the platform's total lead to 1.61 million units and 954,548 more units in the last year. The PlayStation 4 has sold 13.16 Million units in 28 months, while the Xbox One has sold 11.55 million units.

The PlayStation 4 launched in the US on November 15th, 2013, while the Xbox One launched on November 22nd, 2013.

@ Azuren: I'm sure we can all agree that Xbox is going to take a similar route that Atari and Sega took. I expect them to stick around, just not have the sort of console dominance they briefly had.

I think from here on out the gap only increase from month to month. Obviously there will be the month here and there exception...
