Yeah, that would be interesting to see. But since the 360 outsold the PS3 for most of its life till the end I would expect similar graph.

360 was outselling PS3 because of the 1 year head-start giving 360 a 8m lead by the time the PS3 launched globally (EU, Spring 2007).

This is tracking month to month sells, and in this case the PS3 is ahead of the XBO by a 140k.

First 2 years

PS4: 31.5m
PS3: 17.3m (rounded down)
XBO: 17.2m (rounded up)
360: 13.7m

Month to month PS3 was outselling 360, but 360 always had an extra year of sales under it's belt thanks to the year head start.

So, basically the mighty Xbox 360 sold peanuts.

So going by that graph I expect the lead to increase a lot in December but then to decrease for most of next year. There's a pattern emerging.

naw... next year would match up with the surprise price drop in Sept if I'm not mistaken... that was pretty huge holiday for Microsoft, but wouldn't surprise me if X1 drops down again and the difference doesn't change that much
