Oh, so the PS3 is selling better than the Xbox One too. I'll be damned.

Seems the gap is not growing as fast in year two, which makes sense as there was a 100 $ price cut at the end of year one. The next price cut for the PS3 came about 9 months into its third year, to 300, which brought PS3 levels to just about the level PS4 is at now.

Unless the PS4 sees a large upswing next year (I don't expect it to) I think the gap will grow about 2-4 million (probably in the middle at 3) for the next couple of years. If the PS4 has the same kind of lifespan as the PS3, it will outsell it. However, I think that the PS4 will not have as long of a life. This is partially because Microsoft is lagging behind and will want to launch earlier, plus the PS4 is relatively low tech compared to how advanced the PS3 was. So, PS4 should still outsell the PS3, but it may be closer than people think.
