PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U Europe Lifetime Sales – September 2015 Update - PS4 10.31M, Xbox One 3.81M, Wii U 2.47M - Sales

Welcome to the latest edition of the ‘PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U Europe’ article. This series compares the monthly and lifetime sales of the 8th generation of home consoles - the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U.

 

Looking at the total sales of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U in September we can see that the PlayStation 4 continues to dominate in Europe. It has comfortably sold more than the Xbox One and Wii U combined and has 62 percent market share.

The PlayStation 4 crossed the 10 million mark in Europe in September and has now sold 10.31 million units lifetime. The Xbox One has sold 3.81 million units in the region and the Wii U 2.47 million units.

PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 10,314,404

Xbox One Total Sales: 3,809,765

Wii U Total Sales: 2,466,854

 

The PlayStation 4 has outsold both the Xbox One and Wii U every month since it launched in November 2013. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U in September for the 14th straight month. The PS4 outsold the Xbox One by 236,961 units for the month and the Wii U by 319,272. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U by 82,311 units.

When you compare monthly sales to a year ago the Wii U is up, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are down. The PlayStation 4 is down 472,008 units, the Xbox One is down 152,530 units, and the Wii U is up 5,494 units.

PlayStation 4 Monthly Sales: 381,465

Xbox One Monthly Sales: 144,504

Wii U Monthly Sales: 62.193
