I think this game can reach 1 million sales lifetime at retail.

Players == sales. When MS says 5 million players, they’re including the Alpha and Beta numbers in there as well.

Half a million at retail in 10 weeks, huh? It seems Game Pass really ate this game sales, but if it gave profit to MS through an increase in subscriptions, that's all that matters to them.

I think more people spent their 14 day trial on gamepass to try this game out. Not necesarrily meaning all those players who joined gamepass stayed and subscribed for longer. Forza Horizon 4 will see a bigger jump in Gamepass subscribers.

4 million players, not sales. So physical sales, digital sales (including Windows) and Game Pass users.

Maybe this game has sold between 1 and 2 million. But it probably made a lot of money from Game Pass users as well. That's the point of Game Pass, launch major games on it and many people may subscribe.
