Tales of Vesperia is the best jrpg this gen. It has a fantastic storyline with plenty of twist and turns, a lovable cast of characters, and a highly addictive combat system. The storyline is not exactly groundbreaking but it is extremely well done. The main theme of the story is "justice" which is a theme that has been used countless times before in a jrpg. But Vesperia takes that theme to a whole new level thanks to the main characters Yuri and Flynn. Justice has never been so awesome in a jrpg and so mature in a tales game. There are many moments in Tales of Vesperia's storyline that will grip you. Moments that won't be forgotten any time soon if you get the chance to play it. Overall Tales of Vesperia brings a awesome storyline that is both well done and full of awesomeness. The characters are even greater then the storyline itself. They have wonderful interaction and all of them have there own unique personality. The main character Yuri Lowell is one of the best main protagonist i have ever seen in a jrpg. I won't go into any details about him to avoid spoilers but just know that he is awesome main lead. The rest of the cast of characters may not be as awesome as Yuri but they are still great. The villains of Vesperia have great personalitys and back stories but overall are pretty underdeveloped. The combat system in Vesperia is so addictive its like a drug. You can pull off massive combos, control up to 7 different characters with there own fighting style, pull of super move like Burst Artes and Mystic Artes (kinda like the Limit Breaks of the tales games) and there is a lot of customization to be done. The music is not the best i've heard in a jrpg but its still great and very fitting. The voice acting on the other hand is some of the best i have heard in a jrpg to date. The visuals are stunning. It almost feels like your playing an interactive anime. It is very detailed and colorful and is one of the most beautiful jrpgs i have seen. Tales of Vesperia is a must own for all jrpg fans. So don't miss out on playing this masterpiece.
