Trophy Guide

Bolded words are trophy requirements.

Everything else is extra.

Try to follow these steps in order to get all trophies.

Step 1

Create a wrestler to use during step 2

Step 2

Three exhibition matches- Use this opportunity to get used to the controls and boost your created characters attributes.

  • Play one round with a manager in your corner and win. Get used to reversing moves in this match. You simply need to stand still, or be backing into the ropes and execute the reversal when the opponent is just about to connect. The reversal move is “Back+Triangle” (“back” meaning, away from opponent).
    • Reversals are your key to platinum for this game. When you do a reversal, it leaves your opponent “groggy”, at which point you can simply press X (grapple) next to them, execute the QTE (quicktime event button pushes) and your “grapple guage” will fill up 2 bars. Practice reversals for now. Perform them until you get a trophy called “technician”.
    • Your grapple guage gives you access to finisher moves and taunts. The best taunt, in my opinion, is “Down+Triangle+Circle”. This taunt regains your strength which is necessary for some of the longer matches and objectives in which you are required to be hurt and need to bounce back quickly.
    • Also, you should try out “Flash events” A flash event is similar to a quicktime event, except the buttons will appear at the top of the screen, and you can only press them after the screen flashes. Pressing the button before that will negate the sequence and you will lose the “flash event”. A good one you can practice for now is the turnbuckle flash event. Simply throw an opponent into the corner by holding the left stick away from the opponent and holding X, if you continue to hold the stick away, you character will run to follow him. Stop just slightly short of your now groggy opponent and press X. This will initiate a flash event. When the screen flashes, press Triangle. You will end up on top of the turnbuckle and your opponent will be on the floor. Press Square to dive on top of the opponent. Give this flash event some practice as it will be useful later. While you are at it, try doing this event for all four corners.
    •  Use this opportunity to try out your finisher. When you reach grapple guage lvl 3, hit “Square+X” and then press the buttons as are shown on screen.

  • Play another round with a tag team partner.
    • Now that you have a good understanding of the key moves, play with a tag team partner and get to level 3 grapple. Perform your finisher as normal and you will get a special tagteam finisher. Finish the flash event (I like to use triangle myself) and then win the match.

Step 3

Play wrestlemania Tour mode

For this step you need to beat all “relive” “rewrite” and “redefine” matches and get a medal on each. Each match requires you to fulfill a list of objectives in order to medal and move on to the next match. Each objective has a point value, and you only require a certain number of points to medal on each, meaning that for the most part, you only have to do some of the objectives, not all. Most objectives are fairly straightforward. In some cases a blinking “X Objectives” will appear under your character health bar indicating that you need to hit X to perform an objective.

  • Relive matches
    • Write down the objectives on the first match and then complete them all without pausing the game.
    • Get used to the gameplay and work out the objectives. The most difficult match is the last one with Steve Austin and the Rock. Win the opening chain, and then do a reversal followed by a grapple to get to lvl 3 grapple. Let The Rock beat on you for a bit, (which is best done by just punching him til’ he reverses it and grapples you) try to keep him in lvl 3 grapple so that he can do the Rock Bottom finisher and you can reverse it. After you reverse it, go outside the ring and wait at the empty table next to the announcers. When he approaches, press X while “objectives” appears under your health bar. Do that again and the table will break. While he is down, walk to the other table and hit “Circle-Circle” to complete the next objective. Now, go to the side that has the long hallway. “Objective” will appear, so hit X which will bring him down the hall. In this area, hit X while near the sign, and while near the right hand side. “Objective” will appear when are in the appropriate area(s). Next, go back down the hall to the ring and stand near the stairs to the left of the entrance hall. There are also two objectives here. One will throw The Rock into the crowd where you will fight. Let him beat on you to get back out. The next will throw him into the stairs. Go back to the ring and do the reversal ->grapple trick to build grapple gauge. Do the regular taunt (Circle+Triangle). Get up to level 3, do a finisher, get another level 3, and do the finisher again. Done.
  • Rewrite
    • Everything here is easy and straightforward.
  • Redefine
    • Nothing special here. Take this opportunity to win a match using only grapples. You can pin with circle.

Step 4

Legend Killer mode

  • Use your created player to blaze through opponents. You will want to beat these as quickly as possible. Simply do the reverse/grapple lvl trick and do repeated finishers to clear each battle. Try your best to do these as quickly as possible. Once you are more leveled up, it will be easier, so 2nd or 3rd tier might be when you get the 30-minute tier trophy. Complete every tier and max out your created character attributes in the process.

Step 5

Royal Rumble

  • Just set yourself up as the 30th entrant and win the match
