You can compare with that an wii exclusive game only neads to sell around 500 k to make really good profits to the developer. Capcom have an goal for dead rising on wii to sell 500 k in its life time to pay for that game and give them profit. Its the double for an hd game ,beacuse of development .cost Message | Report |

@ uno you're right of course. drakes fortune talks like somebody who has never played that many pc/wii games. wii feels the best hands down, but i end up playing the 360 the most because of the wider variety of online games. the conduit is going to change that though. i'm very happy this game is doing well, my brother owns it and i play it frequently. the online is solid - much better than gears of war 2, which sucks ass - and the controls are not the best, but are still very good. can't wait to see this get to a million. I'd quit complaining about the graphics. Wii owners are lucky to get ports of PS360 games at all. In fact, this is pretty much the only FPS that's gotten a port to Wii, so you should thank your lucky starts it exists and that it looks as good as it does. Face it, the only games that are graphically pleasing are simple cartoony games or rail shooters where they control the environment so much as to make it look ok. Think of all the money nintendo would be making if it was just a bit more powerful, powerful enough that passable ports of PS360 games could be made and run acceptably. Actually, the biggest problem the wii has is the lack of a second analog stick. I think that's an even bigger reason the Wii doesn't get ports. Message | Report |

@Okey, excluding both Viva Pinyata and LBP not one "family" game has hit above 800k. Barring ofcourse pack ins and brand products like Sonic. Remembering too alot of these titles released before the Wii was out. I assume you wouldn't include Nintendo stuff with Mario in the title. I have a 360 version of this. Well I didn't quite enjoy this as much as CoD4 or CoD3. Even though they made Cod3, I didn't like this very much. Thing that sucks is that they even bothered to put a half-assed split screen in campaign. Who the hell positions it like that? Anyway good for the Wii version this certainly made profits. I love this game but I also have it for 360. The Inly thing I hate is no voice chat or Nazi zombies. It's the best part of cod 5 when they make modern warfare 2 I hope they add both including the ray gun. If anyone knows please tell me how do I host an open match online so anyone can join. I love this game so much. I am soooo good at this game. I can kick anyones ass. Anyway the only thing I did not like was the team battle without voice chat. You can not communicate wioth your to team so they can help you. So it is still basically free for all except you can't hit your own team. Wii version was just a one-year working title. They were experimenting if people would like this game and buy it. THEY DID! So now they are working on a 2-year cycle for Modern Warfare 2 for the Wii which will have everything that the 360 and ps3 versions have due to voice chat online. Message | Report |

The sales for this version of the game are pretty good considering that people can also the PS3 or Xbox 360 version. I'm thinking of picking up the Wii version even though I have a 360 as well. First the Wii version is cheaper, the graphics look fine, and gives support so the Wii isn't overlooked in the future (just my small part). Actually IGN said it sold about 370,000 in December, and total 470,000 overall for Shaun White Snowboardin according to NPD. So CoD: WaW sold more than that so probably about 400,000 estimate from NPD for CoD: WaW in December in the U.S. Tie that in with the rest of the Americas for December and all of the Americas in November and CoD: WaW is about 600,000 in the Americas. This is definitely being undertracked in America. According to NPD, it ranked #19 across all formats, just above Shaun White, which sold 470,000 in December (according to IGN's NPD numbers). So this game is at least at 470k. Probably a fair bit higher. If it has good legs to carry it, I'm sure it can hit a million in America. Message | Report |

Wii online mode is good enough for a first time. This game was just building up for the next game. Modern warfare 2 will have more time to work on other things like more modes and more players in a match because the basic is already done. Btw, caring about PS3/360's far superior online is an aspect of gameplay. Wii has great controls but a weak online structure which is important to many players of such games. I wouldn't doubt Modern Warfare 2 being on Wii. I think the only reason the first one wasn't on it was because Activision thought COD3 hadn't sold well on the Wii. If ya look at the trends it sold well over a course of time rather than immediately so it gave a false impression. Thus that's why WaW was on the Wii. So MW2 should be on it unless Activision feels they don't need to expand the franchise further on Wii which would be silly haha. Yea it probably sold about 400k in the US alone in December. About 125k in Novermber in the US and that puts it at 525k alone in the US. Add in the rest of the places and that's 600k in the Americas with about 200k in Europe/Others. 800,000 ain't that bad. WELL, VGC had this selling 170k in NA in Dec, at like number 120 or so. NDP had it at no. 19, the no. 19 title on VGC sold 534k. So at the worst it sold like 430k (ndp does not count bundles, if it did like VGC it would have been closer to No. 24 or so. SO well say it was undertracked by about 250k. So it should be at maybe .72 or so. BUT, if it was undertracked before what is stopping it now? I think it will be right at 750k when the week ending the 10th numbers come in. Message | Report |

BestBuy, Target, and Hollywood Video consistently don't have any Wii versions at all, while having multiple copies of the Xbox360 and PS3 versions. MOH isnt horrible. Its controls are better than WAW Wii and it runs a fast Frame rate. But WAW surpasses it in every other way. Just because a game has 32 player online doesnt mean its better. actually world at war creams medal of honor heroes 2 in everyway. Heros 2 had more people online but it was so much more shit. U couldnt make classes, there was alot of lag (i unloaded afull clip on some people and they didnt die) it had no perks, no dogs ect. I hope this game sells. It actually does look very good compared to most Wii titles, has great online play and the controls are fantastic. I am impressed how much stuff is on screen and how they pretty much have everything that the 360 version on screen ... just with ugly textures an no HD of course. And alot of people where really sceptic about this version because of the crappy port of quantum of solace for wii. But this game is actually really good on wii. @ brk00 Maybe? Granted, CoD: WAW does not have much sales the first week, but it does track higher then de Blob all regions week to week basis and de Blob is at 500k after 10 weeks. CoD: WAW is at half that at half the time, the difference between those games is that de Blob has a Christmas boast in America around now. CoD: WAW is just having the usual 40k+ sales a week and that can carry the game a far bit if it holds on. One more thing, every week in Others is higher then the previous, I wonder if that holds on. stof- well that was a launch title so who knows. But I still think we are under tracking WaW in America. Hard to think with all that commercial advertising and mainstream brand that it wouldn't have picked up as it goes on. I think it might help a little if Activision made the price of the Wii version slightly cheaper in Europe. Right now it sells for 57 Euros, only about 4 Euros cheaper than the PS360 version, and about 15 Euro's more expensive than the average Wii game. As long as the game is priced this way in Europe, it will not sell. The same happened with No More Heroes, another game that was/(and is still) priced at 57 Euro's. Message | Report |

I have no clue how anybody could say this game is not better than MoH. The story is vastly better, the graphics don't totally suck, and the online is as good, though in different way. Sure it's gimped with a efew features, but the other versions have gimped control. Message | Report |

@MarioGalaxy the Wii version is gimped as hell. Thats why it does not have the suppor tof hardcore Wii gamers. It looks like the people who know about this game are buying it on the 360 any sales the Wii gets are from people who see it in the store and people who dont have another sysem. I'm really shocked by this game! If you compare the visuals between this one and the other "War Games" on the wii the is no way!! It's a relly Must have for all wii owner that likes this genre!! This says a lot about the type of gamers that buying Wii's. Please fan boys don't take that wrong. It's not meant as a negative. It also shows why so many 'tried and true' franchises from the Xbox and Playstation camp WONT make games on the Wii. Despite huge console sales it still doesn't move a very deversivied software lineup. That scares of some developers. Especially right now in this climate. Message | Report |

Whatever can happen to this game. still early in sales. Hopfully stores that is out of stock will order CoD WAW in again. Anyway, still tracking higher than HotD:2&3R so if CoD WAW has something of a staying power it can reach over 700k. Or the sales can die at any moment. shame to see that between treyarch and IW (mostly IW), the COD series never reached its' full potential on Wii. Sales could have been growing if they only kept up with putting MW out the same time as other systems, DLC, MW2, equal promotion etc. Message | Report |
