This probably cost a lot less than the $5M it cost Sega to release The Conduit also. Seeing that MP3 is only a boosted version of the MP and MP2 engine!!! Meaning it made the Big N Mucho Cash!!! Message | Report |

I agree with the assesment that this game is better than the Conduit, except for one thing. The Conduit's instant turn around function is amazing, its the one thing I would add to MP3. Other than that, this was one of my favorite games ever. Message | Report |

Of course, and many people I know buy it, too :) Finally, it reached 1,54 units sold. Moep, fusion sold 1,55 :D But I think, mp3 wouldn't sell more units, people would buy the trilogy instead... But I think, 1,54 is very good, better than super metroid or mp2, without marketing and so on, very impressive :) Message | Report |

Advance lets you aim more in the center while turning ... standard is not good for quick reactions and turning. Try Advance again ... you will get used to it after 30 mins Message | Report |

Man I can't wait for the Trilogy! :) I've been thinking how cool it would be to play through the 2 prequels with the Wiimote ever since playing this game, I thought it'd just be wishful thinking... With the launch on August of the complete Metroid Prime Trilogy in one disc this game 'll have a boost in sales. Just imagine the 3 metroid with in a single disc and with a gameplay using the Wii remote!! wow, simply amazing. Message | Report |

And metroid II, it sold 1,73 Mio.. Well, Nintendo doesn't make any promotion for metroid. The first MP was bundled, got tv spots etc. But this sales aren't so bad.... I hoped it would reach 1,8 or so.... Message | Report |

mmpop, despite no Metroid game ever having sold 3 million? Yeah... Sales aren't low. This did very well, particularly for a Metroid-game. The only games in it's own series that's outsold it are Metroid Fusion(barely), the original Metroid and the original Metroid Prime(which was bundled). These sales aren't bad. Message | Report |

Yes Metroid deserves better but for whatever reason Metroid was never a huge seller. 1.5 million so far. Not bad. It will get close to 2 million in the end from bumps of a price drop and maybe more interest thanks to the rerelease of Prime 1 and 2 with Wii controls. Message | Report |

@ Omega Phazon Pirate Games as high calibre and quality as Super Metroid and Metroid Prime pretty much solidified Metroid's place in Nintendo top 3. All the titles in the series are quality. I don't know about Kirby. I think you might be alone in that. Samus is one of Nintendo's best known characters along with Mario and Link. Pokemon might sell more compared to Metroid, but it's squandered its quality by making too many crappy Pokemon off shoots. Message | Report |

This game might get a boost when they release the Wiivamped Metroid Prime 1/2. It's unfortunate not more people bought this awesome game. Metroid, despite one of Nintendo's big three, is still a niche franchise and only has 10 entries in the series compared to the numerous Mario and Zelda titles. It's hard for new people to get into. The Prime series, despite it's superficial semblance to a FPS, it's heavy on the adventuring. People buying it for a pure FPS will be disappointed. People buying it for pure adventuring won't like the first person shooter aspects. Metroid is definitely an anomoly. I just hope Nintendo continues the Metroid series. Message | Report |

I think sales are higher, too. Well, and sales aren't as bad. Metroid sold over 2,7 Mio (20 years ago), Metroid Prime = 2, 73, but it was bundled (!!!) Than we have Metroid II (1,73), Metroid Fusion (1,6) and Metroid Prime 3 (1,48). Metroid Prime 3 surpassed already the other metroid games. I think the sales for this game is wrong somehow as its constantly in the sales charts. Its an game with legs that we will not get correct numbers for until nintendo reveals them. Its an must buy for any wii owner with some of the best visuals on the hardware. But its not an plain fps shooter more an adventure puzzle shooter. With some really hard boos fights. People still seem to not get that this isn't a First Person Shooter I think. This is a Metroid game with some stronger shooter elements but at it's core it's a Metroid game just like Super Metroid on the SNES. Anyway a really great game and a fantastic finish to a great series. Message | Report |

The biggest problem with the game is the outdated combat. I don't want to spend over a minute blasting each enemy while with my immense health bar never seems to run out. Battles should be faster by reducing you're and the enemy health. By the way Wii fit is not crap. It sold over 13mill because 1: good marketing 2: helps you loss weight 3: balance board can be used for other games Message | Report |

I got this game for christmas and as an gamer that also plays alot of 360 games. Holy smokes on the visuals on this game ...... I play on an 32 inch lcd hdtv with an component cable and edtv/hdtv. In my eyes so could they even have released it on 360 with these visuals. Take me right here iam just trying to point out how amazed i got over the game visuals. Now to the other question...... how little work does the other developers actually put on there wii games visuals?????? Message | Report |

@emilie autumn I agree. When nintendo launches the first two games of the franchise the trird one it's supossed to be affected by a small boost in sales. I guess that total sales for this games will be close to 2M.
