Amazing this game sold this well. Glad it did amazon because it was one if not the first games I played on my PSP around 5 years ago. Can't believe it's been that long already...I feel so old...now...25. Anyway, it's sad I can't check my PSP because the battery died I believe. It hardly charges. Still, such a shame SE didn't put this on PSN...or remastered...Amazing game. Deserves all these sales and more. Message | Report |

@Triple Roxas, I agree they were low, Epecially in Japan. America was good enough because the PSP isn't very big here. Compared to FFX-2 which sold 5.2. Million this is half that. I loved both FFX-2, and CC, but i agree with roxas to an extent that this could be the reason they are hesitant on a costly remake. (As in not ones like the DS FFIV ones) Message | Report |

@nomorehalo: Well yes while i can agree that the sales are obviously a sucess for a psp title, it's disheartening to think that FF7 only has 2.5 millon fans. on a sidenote Zack (for me) is such a fantastic character gives a new meaning to me for a Hero or Solider in the FF7 universe. at AJ habfan , i have a friend whos a big fan of zelda games etc and never had a ps1 but bought ps2 later in its day. he recently dl the psp ffvii from ps store - after finishing it within a week of non stop playin, he told me its now his number 1 game of all time and that zelda can go shove it elsewhere lol Message | Report |

If you thought Crisis Core was good then your missing out on some great games, try the non-portable FF games, there the best of the series. I'm not going to lie, I had a bit of a rough time getting through this one. The story just felt all over the place. It was actually quite fun through most of it though. The atmosphere is incredible, beautifully created, especially for a portable. Combing different attacks was cool too, and I liked the boss fights. My first Final Fantasy... not bad at all, but I don't know if I will bother with any non-PSP versions. Message | Report |

I dont think that 2.5 million is possible, when last time SE reported sales it was ~ 1.96 million worldwide.... I believe that this game is tracked pretty much spot-on :D Probably ~ 2.1/2.2 million shipped at this point, but with some legs it could eventually reach 2.5 million, especially if it will get a PSP the BEST edition in Japan, and Platinum/Greatest Hits in the EU/US... Re: Gilgamesh - Yeah FFVII gets a lot of bad rap in hindsight but I think if most people tried it again they'd be amazed. Crisis Core's story is great because the developers knew what was great about the original (it wasn't just fanfare like AC). Christhor - Yeah you got that right, I think I didn't figure that out till my second playthrough. A random villager tells it and there are some small hints. I'm sure a lot of people didn't get that. @nomorehalo - Really? I probably should replay the game... There are a couple of things in FFVII I never understood like for instance Nibelheim. How come the city is there even if it got burnt down? The only thing I could make out from talking to people in the city was *Spoilers* That Shinra rebuilt Nibelheim and hired people to live there, since Sephiroth was SOLDIER and they didn't want to get the blame? I've played Final Fantasy VII before but it was like 6 years ago the second last time I played, I just started playing it not to long ago and I just finished it again a couple weeks ago and ya I completely understand now, I guess I just forgot everything in it, my memory doesn't work to well when trying to remember a game I've played 6 years ago lol.
