Quite a few of these games won#t and at this current time are not breaking 500k. The home-console market isn't booming nearly as much in Japan as it did back then, and furthermore legs in Japan are almost non-existent, usually due to a lot of retailers not stocking a lot of games after a year. @boypita Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the best selling PS4 game now :) I could see all of these upcoming games selling more than 500,000 in Japan as well since their previous mainline PS3 game sold more than that and the fact that PS4 is leading over PS3 in aligned launch sales. Without the Japan bundling this is still not a million seller in spite of being a 1st party launch title. This is why Sony and MS don't really bother with platformers. A little too risky. Message | Report |

LOL "Mario Killer". I think only 2 GBA Mario games have sold less than Knack. The rest of them (more than 30 titles - including the recent Wii U Mario games) have sold a lot more. The last Mario game on Wii U sold like 1.2 million in a couple of days (Mario Kart 8). Mario sure ain't dead yet. :p Message | Report |

@PikminDude123 Yes, Knack is bundled with a PS4 in Japan, and by that, I mean EVERY SINGLE PS4 CONSOLE. Yep, you heard me, you can't buy a PS4 console without having a copy of Knack as of this post. I have no idea why Sony decided to that but I'm assuming it has something to do with the fact that there are barely any PS4 titles for Japanese gamers to play, though Knack probably isn't the best game to solve that situation. Why do so many people feel that Knack has to be such an amazing game? Why can't it just be a GOOD game? My nephew and I really enjoyed the game. It has that nostalgic fun and the mascot themed platformer that is really on the decline. I hope this game gets a sequel and more new mascot type IPs continue to come out like this one. About Knack, what a pity that so much talent was wasted creating such mediocrity. What kind of "gamer" gloats about this kind of wasted potential? "the mario killer" - LOL What is this SonyGAF nonsense? Have you checked how much Super Mario 3D World has sold compared to Knack even without being bundled with a console (as Knack did)? SM3W has sold over 1.6 million units. In the US (the market that matters, unlike the dying market in the UK) , SM3W sold over 380k units last December in the US. While Knack sold only around 75k in the US in the same month. So much for "Mario killer"! Knack isn't even a GOTY contender like SM3W is. Message | Report |
