The Wii version DOES support 480p. This is a verified fact.

You're wrong, it doesn't support 480p, it's 480i, exactly like GameCube.

swii26, not everyone still has their GCN discs in prIstine condition. Plus this new edition has some advantages. The FMV's are not compressed. It supports 480p resolution (GCN only supports 480i). One Disc Only. It may not seem like much. But if your old discs fail, this is the best option. GameStops used games are scratched POS.

wow, if this doesn't tell capcom Wii owners love Resident Evil and also crave a traditional experience (as oppose to a rails game, though i am sure that will sell crazy too), I don't know what will. For a port of a remake of a decade+ old game, it is doing very well...

I allready died twice from the first zombie all be cause of the wonky controls but that is not going to stop me from enjoying the game. The first one wasn't so bad (the control mechanics didnt age well)

This is what the Japanese are like theyll eat up trash yet ignore quality if its foreign

I love the Japanese but i hate their buying tastes. Another example is Pro Evolution, theyll eat up updates numerous times within a year, yet Fifa games will be completely ignored...

Wow in Japan they really know how to churn out cheap ports. The only REAL good one was RE4, all of these have NO upgrades what so ever, just cheap ports. I really hope none of these make it state side. Enough with releasing the FISRT Resident evil already, how many times has it been now? PS1, GC, DS, Saturn, now Wii all have the first RE? Why not go from the success of RE4/ REUC on Wii and make an original? RE4 selling so well on Wii means that there is truly an audience, as it is already out there for GC for cheaper which plays on Wii but still the Wii edition that was done right sold well. There's demand on Wii for new RE.

Ah, it is the first Part of RE, because Wii is not getting Part 5...a very bad thing.
